Senior Software Engineering Manager, Patient & Provider Experiences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Lead a team to successfully deliver intricate, open-ended projects that align with business objectives.

• Establish and convey a clear technical vision that underpins organizational strategy.

• Cultivate a high-performing and inclusive team culture focused on growth, accountability, and impact.

• Set and oversee objectives across teams, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.

• Provide guidance on system architecture and design, offering constructive feedback on engineering decisions.

• Implement and enhance processes to boost team efficiency and outcomes.

• Develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and neighboring teams.

• Address misalignments and conflicting goals with clarity and diplomacy.

• Influence organizational outcomes without relying on formal authority.

• Regularly evaluate team performance and potential in a fair and transparent manner.

• Facilitate career development through coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities.

• Communicate proactively and effectively to ensure alignment among teams and stakeholders.

• Guide teams through change and uncertainty with composure, clarity, and confidence.

• Continuously enhance system reliability, performance, and observability.

• Supervise production support rotations to guarantee high availability and reliability.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated history of delivering complex technical projects with quantifiable business impact.

• 8 years of experience in system design, architecture, and cross-functional trade-offs.

• 5 years of experience in driving organizational change and influencing results across teams.

• At least 2 years of experience leading fully remote, geographically distributed engineering teams.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities, with a minimum of 9 years of experience in place of a Bachelor's degree.

• At least 2 years of experience in the healthcare sector or other highly regulated industries.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, or similar programming languages.
