Head of Front-End Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design cross-platform experiences utilizing React, Next.js, and the new architecture of React Native.

• Expand our shared design system across various applications and platforms.

• Spearhead our monorepo strategy using Turborepo or Nx.

• Enhance performance with a focus on SEO, accessibility, caching, and bundle size.

• Connect mobile and web experiences through Tamagui or shared UI libraries.

• Provide mentorship to engineers and guide technical direction across global teams.

• Incorporate analytics and experimentation while maintaining speed.

• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and design teams to deliver quality at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in software engineering, including team leadership.

• Proficient in both web and mobile ecosystems.

• Proven history of developing scalable applications and design systems.

• Comfortable making architectural decisions and deploying production code.

• Excellent communication skills across both technical and business audiences.

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
