Senior Software Engineer, Zone Procure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Design and implement intricate, high-impact features throughout the Zone platform.

• Spearhead AI integrations and select workflows for AI implementation and troubleshooting.

• Assess technical trade-offs and opt for designs that minimize long-term complexity.

• Break down ambiguous requirements into phased execution strategies.

• Convert technical debt and architectural decisions into business implications.

• Refactor unstable code paths and set higher standards for review and documentation.

• Predict and address architectural bottlenecks.

• Guide mid-level and junior engineers through code evaluations and design mentorship.

• Take ownership of and achieve OKRs and KPIs, ensuring outcomes, quality, and timelines.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Architecture, and FinOps leadership.

• Establish frameworks for multi-entity consolidation and global tax compliance across NOAM, EMEA, and APAC.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Experience in Fintech, Payments, or ERP-integrated SaaS is highly advantageous.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Capability to manage complex projects from uncertainty to successful production delivery in a globally distributed setting.

• Background in designing testable solutions for critical business logic.

• Proven effectiveness in fully remote, asynchronous, globally distributed environments, demonstrating high autonomy and disciplined self-management.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills across different time zones.
