Senior Software Engineer – VB.Net, C#, SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate software requirements and business objectives to design and implement efficient technical solutions.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level applications, primarily using VB.NET and Windows Forms.

• Construct, optimize, troubleshoot, and oversee SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integrations.

• Provide support for existing applications by diagnosing complex issues and resolving production defects.

• Contribute to C# applications and services as necessary.

• Manage integrations with both internal and external systems via REST APIs.

• Adhere to coding standards, source control practices, testing procedures, and software development best practices.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and code reviews.

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to enhance and modernize applications.

• Assist in technical documentation, software testing, and deployment processes.

• Offer technical guidance and share knowledge within the team.

• Safeguard, secure, and appropriately manage confidential company information.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience utilizing VB.NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework.

• Strong practical experience in developing and maintaining Windows Forms applications.

• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, covering complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and database design.

• Proficient knowledge of C# and capability to support .NET applications.

• Experience in consuming and maintaining RESTful APIs and system integrations.

• Background in working with legacy applications and modernizing existing codebases.

• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software architecture best practices.

• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git and collaborative development methodologies.

• Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and conducting root cause analysis of intricate software issues.

• Understanding of unit testing and software quality practices.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, ownership, adaptability, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Commitment to continuous learning and willingness to work with both legacy and evolving technologies.

• Attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality solutions.

• Working hours aligned with the US Central-Eastern Time Zone.
