Senior Software Engineer – Trading Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop protocols and features to fulfill both functional and non-functional requirements

• Launch new trading protocol capabilities on the Aeron-based platform

• Transition remaining workflows onto the updated service stack

• Design messaging patterns that link the new stack with the rest of the platform

• Enhance platform scalability, performance, and testing coverage

• Guarantee service reliability and availability

• Resolve production issues and refine operational processes

• Optimize systems for minimal latency and maximum throughput

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully execute projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Located in the U.S. and capable of working in the EST time zone

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, ideally within capital markets or trading workflows

• Background in financial services, trade workflows, or electronic trading systems

• Expertise in JVM-based languages, with a preference for Scala

• Proficient in writing clean and maintainable code

• Experienced in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable distributed systems

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, FIX, Kafka, or Aeron

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker

• Skilled in utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code

• Understanding of low-latency, high-throughput systems

• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, agile practices, and CI/CD pipelines
