Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead

• Influence key architectural decisions and supervise the execution of intricate technical solutions.

• Identify challenges, drive solutions, and incorporate customer support and operational data.

• Advocate for and implement quality assurance methodologies.

• Utilize AI tools in daily activities and facilitate the team's adoption of AI-assisted practices.

• Design and develop high-availability software systems to support global operations.

• Deliver mission-critical services that assist customers in managing, protecting, and maintaining endpoints and servers.

• Perform additional duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Java software development, specifically for product applications.

• 5+ years of experience in designing and managing highly scalable systems.

• Demonstrated ability to solve intricate system design problems at scale, including identifying bottlenecks, quantifying improvements (throughput/latency), and clearly articulating individual contributions.

• Hands-on production experience with distributed-systems patterns such as Saga, CQRS, outbox, circuit breaker, bulkhead, event sourcing, and idempotency keys.

• Experience in managing partial failures and creating compensation logic.

• Expertise in API design and RESTful services, with familiarity in Spring, Spring Boot, or Jersey.

• Experience integrating APIs, webhooks, and third-party platforms.

• Experience crafting extensible integration architectures.

• Proficiency in relational database design and development, including schema and data modeling, normalization vs. denormalization, indexing and partitioning, and efficient querying of large tables.

• Experience troubleshooting complex database issues, including performance, data integrity, and migrations.

• Experience assessing relational versus non-relational stores.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming design principles and practices.

• Comprehensive knowledge of quality testing methodologies.

• Active, practical experience using AI tools in coding, testing, debugging, and code review.

• A solid approach to validating AI-generated code prior to deployment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• Must reside in the USA and in one of the listed eligible states.
