
Senior Software Engineer – Server Manageability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Creating, executing, and delivering innovative solutions for managing GPU-based AI servers with an emphasis on out-of-band management, firmware development, server architecture, and building systems for enterprise use.
• Leading the design of BMC firmware alongside a global team of engineers.
• Designing and developing performance-optimized active monitoring BMC solutions utilizing DMTF Standards, including MCTP, Redfish, SPDM, and PLDM specifications.
• Instrumenting code to ensure maximum coverage.
• Writing and automating unit tests for each developed module while maintaining comprehensive unit test case reports.
• Providing software quality reports derived from static analysis, code coverage, and CPU load metrics.
• Collaborating with the security team to ensure that developed code aligns with product security objectives.
• Working closely with hardware teams to influence hardware design and review hardware architecture and schematics.
• Leading the definition and end-to-end delivery of all platforms by collaborating with internal teams, ODMs/OEMs, and industry partners for AI servers.
• Partnering with QA/Test architects to develop appropriate testing tools and automation for qualifying the entire system software and firmware stack.
• Domain expertise in BMC firmware development on X86 or ARM platforms.
• Strong experience in the end-to-end delivery of high-end enterprise servers from initial definition to customer deployment.
• Comprehensive understanding of low-level interfaces between SBIOS, BMC, and OS, including I2C/SPI/PCIe/JTAG.
• Experience working closely with hardware teams, ODMs, and vendors to introduce and support server platforms.
• Proficiency in C/C++ development, bash/python scripting, and debugging skills within embedded Linux operating environments.

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
