Senior Software Engineer - Search

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete lifecycle of feature design and development for the platform — starting from problem identification and schema design through to implementation, versioned rollout, and deprecation planning.

• Lead the evolution of the Search and Knowledge Graph Platform to minimize redundancy, optimize payload size, and enhance usability.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business requirements into clear technical specifications and well-defined Jira tickets, while maintaining hands-on involvement in the codebase.

• Manage and advance the data pipelines and transformation workflows that underpin the Search and Knowledge Graph Platform.

• Define and implement scalable integration patterns for the Search and Knowledge Graph Platforms to facilitate both internal and external data exchange.

• Drive improvements in system performance and scalability as data volume and product complexity increase.

• Lead the resolution of complex system and data challenges, establishing best practices in reliability, observability, testing, and data quality.

• Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of data with governance and regulatory standards.

• Mentor engineers and elevate the technical standards throughout the team.

• Utilize AI-first development practices (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to enhance the speed and quality of engineering outputs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient coding skills in Python or NodeJS for developing high-availability Search and Knowledge Graph Platforms.

• Experience in designing and managing data systems and pipelines at scale.

• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.

• Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.

• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of Git, JIRA, and CI/CD platforms (e.g., CircleCI).

• Demonstrated experience in designing and evolving external-facing Search and Knowledge Graph Platforms, including strategies for versioning, pagination, and deprecation.

• Experience with ElasticSearch, ETL/Search and Knowledge Graph Platform design, healthcare data domains, or customer-facing data delivery systems is advantageous.
