Senior Software Engineer, Records Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain secure, scalable web applications and services that support Magna's Records operations and client-facing platforms.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Convey technical concepts, architectural choices, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Design, construct, and enhance APIs and backend services utilizing C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure.

• Develop responsive user interfaces using React and contemporary UI frameworks.

• Employ AI-driven development tools to enhance efficiency, code quality, and speed of delivery.

• Engage in architecture discussions, code evaluations, and technical planning.

• Provide mentorship to other engineers when applicable.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps methodologies.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production applications to ensure reliability and performance.

• Assess emerging technologies, including AI capabilities, to enhance engineering efficiency and business value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience in developing and supporting production-quality applications.

• More than 3 years of practical experience in developing applications using C#/.NET.

• Strong background in designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications in Microsoft Azure.

• Experience in building RESTful APIs and distributed applications.

• Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with modern software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and convert business needs into feasible technical solutions.

• Experience in Agile software development environments.

• Passion for AI-assisted software development and readiness to utilize modern AI tools.

• Preferred: experience with React and/or contemporary JavaScript frameworks.

• Preferred: familiarity with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault, and related Azure offerings.

• Preferred: experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD platforms.

• Preferred: knowledge of Git, Docker/Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Preferred: experience integrating applications with AI or machine learning services, including Azure OpenAI.

• Preferred: experience using Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

• Preferred: background in legal technology, healthcare, financial services, or other regulated sectors.
