Senior Software Engineer – RCM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

• Our committed team is transforming mental healthcare through comprehensive Provider and Patient Portals, empowering both providers and patients.

• Develop and sustain systems that facilitate payments, claims submission, and operational workflows throughout the revenue cycle.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in one of Rula’s key business functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, with a solid track record of creating and scaling web applications in a production setting.

• Demonstrated experience in leading critical technical projects from inception to completion, including the ability to manage trade-offs and align stakeholder expectations.

• A strong passion for cultivating a high-performing engineering culture through code reviews, technical documentation, and mentoring colleagues.

• Expertise in distributed systems: transaction processing, asynchronous queues, microservices, databases, etc.

• Proficient in utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to boost delivery speed, automate routine tasks, and enhance code quality.

• Proven capability to design and execute complex, distributed systems that are scalable, maintainable, and secure.

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in startup or growth-stage companies; High personal awareness and a growth mindset (for Software Engineer); Familiarity with React, NodeJs, Typescript, Kafka, AWS or equivalent; Experience with on-call duties, willing to delve into complex issues and resolve them.
