This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• We are creating small, highly skilled engineering teams (comprising 2–3 engineers) that take ownership of issues from start to finish and swiftly transition from concept to production.
• This position is intended for engineers who are adept at working across the entire stack and utilizing modern AI-driven workflows to enhance delivery speed.
• This role is part of our Core Products team, responsible for developing and maintaining the tools that Crosslake practitioners employ to manage assessments and deliver outcomes to clients.
• You will be expected to design, develop, and deploy software with minimal handoffs—collaborating across frontend, backend, and infrastructure as necessary.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong full-stack capabilities, including frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to assume an architectural role when required.
• Experience in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Extensive experience with AI coding tools, utilizing them daily.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools that extend beyond basic code generation.
• Capacity to integrate AI throughout the workflow (e.g., in prototyping, debugging, test generation, quality assurance, code review, and security analysis).
• Familiarity with contemporary AI-driven development environments and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and modern DevOps practices.
• Significant experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Typescript, Golang, or Rust.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining applications within the AWS ecosystem.
• Background in AI engineering, specifically in constructing agentic workflows in products that balance efficiency and quality (e.g., Pydantic AI, CrewAI, LangGraph, etc.).
• Design and develop full-stack applications from initial concept through to production.
• Take ownership of the entire SDLC: design, development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Collaborate within a small team to deliver swiftly while enjoying a high level of autonomy.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and make practical technical choices.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance development, testing, and code quality.
• Iterate rapidly while upholding a strong standard for reliability and maintainability.
