📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the platform that supports feature teams

• Collaborate with the engineering manager to identify and strategize projects

• Implement platform projects utilizing agentic engineering techniques

• Transition the data layer to RDS

• Enhance platform security and compliance throughout the multi-account AWS organization

• Standardize and refine platform logging to facilitate AI-assisted troubleshooting

• Establish processes and infrastructure that enable AI agents to independently create pull requests to address dependency vulnerabilities and other concerns

• Execute migration, security, and compliance initiatives for data stores, APIs, and cloud infrastructure

• Support feature teams with data and security inquiries

• Evaluate and test the work of peers and review code from other engineers

• Collaborate with feature teams and stakeholders to define the future capabilities of the platform

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing backend services and APIs using an object-oriented programming language

• Strong expertise in data and architecture

• Familiarity with current best practices in data modeling and system architecture

• Experience in securing platform-level components, such as data stores, APIs, and cloud infrastructure

• Understanding of access control, encryption, and audit logging best practices

• Practical experience in constructing and managing production infrastructure

• Proficient in infrastructure as code practices using CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Background in a healthcare environment or another heavily regulated field is preferred

• Experience in building and utilizing custom agents is advantageous

• Familiarity with TypeScript, AWS, serverless functions, and PostgreSQL is a plus
