Senior Software Engineer, Pipeline

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design, scale, and sustain high-throughput backend data pipelines that manage real-time asset ingestion across various microservices.

• Enhance PostgreSQL database performance, pub/sub architectures, and distributed storage systems while handling significant traffic volumes.

• Spearhead service migrations towards Go-centric patterns while ensuring the performance of TypeScript backend services.

• Work collaboratively with Hardware, Machine Learning, Web, Mobile, and Data Science teams to create and implement new pipeline features.

• Serve as a technical authority by performing code reviews, mentoring fellow engineers, and promoting engineering best practices throughout the pipeline ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in TypeScript backend patterns, along with proficiency or a strong ability to quickly adapt to Go.

• Proven experience in designing and managing distributed systems and microservice architectures under heavy data ingestion scenarios.

• Strong background in backend databases and pub/sub systems utilizing PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Redis, SQS, or SNS, including query optimization.

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployment workflows.

• Exceptional cross-functional communication skills, with a history of successful collaboration among hardware, data science, and application engineering teams.
