Senior Software Engineer, Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will be involved in the planning, design, and implementation of features to enhance our Marketplace offerings, assisting fleets and shops with scheduling, completing, and paying for services on their vehicles and equipment.

• You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to consistently produce high-quality software.

• You will participate in the collaborative design and architecture of features.

• You will deliver code that is well-tested, maintainable, and performs efficiently.

• You will conduct research, develop prototypes, and execute spikes as needed to validate assumptions and assess technical feasibility.

• You will have a significant influence in the development and planning processes.

• You will conduct thorough reviews of your peers’ code to ensure quality, consistency, and to facilitate knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as a software engineer.

• More than 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails.

• At least 2 years of experience with ReactJS and Typescript.

• A solid understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Proficiency in data modeling and optimizing query performance.

• Prior experience with payment systems such as Stripe, Brex, etc.

• Strong experience in addressing complex architectural challenges with effective design.

• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks.

• Exceptional communication skills, especially in writing.
