Senior Software Engineer – Node.js, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Investigate, correct, and monitor SQL data to analyze data integrity challenges.

• Utilize SQL, logs, and code to identify root causes, resolve data issues, and address underlying code problems.

• Update client project stakeholders on project status and provide recommendations.

• Develop efficient, high-quality client code that is scalable, secure, testable, and performs well.

• Engage in planning and estimation utilizing various project methods and tools.

• Collect requirements and present developed features effectively to clients.

• Carry out complex activities adhering to established methodology and quality standards across various projects.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and managers to comprehend user pain points and refine solutions.

• Take part in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and governance activities.

• Provide mentorship to engineers through Communities of Practice and project teams.

• Lead project delivery within the defined architecture from conceptualization to deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs utilizing Node.js.

• Familiarity with AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and RDS.

• Skill in collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements.

• Capability to optimize system performance and troubleshoot intricate issues.

• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.

• Proficient in analyzing logs and querying DynamoDB/RDS data stores for error investigation, root cause analysis, and data issue resolution.

• Background in Agile software development methodologies.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, including abstraction and encapsulation.

• High-level design capability using UML, C4, or ArchiMate.

• Experience in creating well-tested, scalable, and high-performing enterprise-level systems.

• Initiative in mentoring engineers and decision-makers.

• Knowledge of SOLID principles.

• Familiarity with OWASP standards.

• Proficient in English.

• Understanding of modern frontend build tools and CI/CD pipelines.

• Professional experience in software engineering within multi-disciplinary teams.

• Expertise in RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Strong knowledge of AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS, and S3.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, with Kubernetes being optional.

• Knowledge of Object-Relational Mappers, architectural/design patterns, and unit testing.
