Senior Software Engineer – Node.js, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova.

📋 Description

• Examine data integrity issues by investigating, rectifying, and monitoring SQL data.

• Detect data problems and conduct root cause analysis utilizing SQL, logs, code, and data repositories.

• Report project progress and suggestions to client stakeholders.

• Develop efficient, high-performance, testable, scalable, secure, and high-quality code for clients.

• Engage in planning and estimation using project methodologies and tools.

• Collect requirements, organize, and present developed features to clients.

• Implement complex activities adhering to methodology and quality standards across various engagements.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user challenges and iterate on solutions.

• Take part in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and governance activities.

• Guide engineers through Communities of Practice and project teams.

• Independently manage project delivery from conceptualization to deployment within defined architecture.

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and AWS/serverless technologies.

• Enhance system performance and resolve complex issues.

• Work with cross-functional teams on technical requirements.

• Remain updated with Node.js and AWS technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.

• Familiarity with AWS serverless services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and RDS.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on technical requirements.

• Experience in optimizing system performance and troubleshooting complex issues.

• Background in analyzing DynamoDB/RDS data errors and inconsistencies, conducting root cause analysis, and rectifying data and code issues.

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.

• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming principles, such as abstraction and encapsulation.

• High-level design skills using UML, C4, or ArchiMate.

• Experience in creating and implementing well-tested, scalable, and high-performance enterprise-level systems.

• Experience in mentoring engineers and decision-makers.

• Strong understanding of SOLID principles.

• Familiarity with OWASP.

• Proficient in English.

• Knowledge of modern frontend build tools and CI/CD pipelines.

• Professional software engineering experience within multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Comprehensive knowledge of AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS, and S3.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Familiarity with ORMs, architectural and design patterns, and unit testing.
