Senior Software Engineer, Nix

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and sustain the core package set that facilitates software distribution across Anduril.

• Develop internal tools and set standards for Nix usage.

• Strategize architectural modifications and assist users of the package set.

• Manage an internal package set for software distribution across development, hosted services, and embedded systems.

• Package both open-source and proprietary software components utilizing Nix.

• Enhance developer experience by integrating Nix tools into developer workflows.

• Offer support, training, and guidance to team members.

• Work independently in a complex environment, simplifying intricate problems into manageable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Nix, Nixpkgs, NixOS, and general functional programming.

• Strong comprehension of build systems and packaging ecosystems.

• Capability to navigate large, complex systems and utilize Nix to enhance them.

• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Rust, C++, Go, Python, or Haskell.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. Secret security clearance.
