Senior Software Engineer, Mobile – React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and sustain scalable React Native applications for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Create reusable, accessible, and high-performance components utilizing React Native and TypeScript.

• Lead architectural decisions pertaining to navigation, state management, data access, and native integrations.

• Incorporate REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication services, analytics tools, and third-party SDKs.

• Manage features from the initial technical design phase through testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineering teams to implement effective technical solutions.

• Enhance application performance, reliability, automated testing, CI/CD processes, tooling, and release strategies.

• Contribute through code reviews, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and responsible reduction of technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 3 years of experience in building and maintaining production React Native applications.

• Strong expertise in React Native, React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript for iOS and Android platforms.

• Comprehensive understanding of mobile architecture, navigation, state management, component design, data persistence, and platform-specific behavior.

• Proven experience in integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, authentication, and third-party services.

• Familiarity with automated testing, mobile build processes, signing, and the release procedures for Apple App Store and Google Play.

• Ability to write clean, secure, testable, and maintainable code following sound engineering principles.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or implementing AI within products or engineering workflows.

• Knowledge of mobile CI/CD, over-the-air releases, observability, crash reporting, push notifications, deep linking, offline workflows, accessibility, or internationalization is a plus.

• Experience in creating high-traffic consumer applications or integrating payment systems, digital wallets, or native hardware is advantageous.

• Background in ticketing, concessions, point-of-sale, inventory management, ordering, loyalty, cinema, entertainment, or hospitality platforms is a plus.

• Familiarity with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, relational databases, Redis, or AWS is a plus.
