Senior Software Engineer, Mobile Platform – React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Front’s cross-platform client-side codebase.

• Enhance the user experience of Front’s React Native mobile application.

• Optimize performance at the native level and provide access to native Android and/or iOS APIs.

• Act as a cross-functional and cross-team subject matter expert on the Android and/or iOS ecosystem.

• Offer guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers on the team.

• Collaborate with Electron and web teams to boost app performance and assist feature teams at Front in delivering cross-platform solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining fast, reliable, real-time mobile applications.

• Proficiency in C/C++ and React Native.

• Product-oriented mindset: dedicated to creating the best user experience.

• Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.

• Understanding of the trade-offs involved in various engineering solutions, prioritizing pragmatism over idealism.

• Bonus: Familiarity with JNI, Android NDK, and Kotlin.

• Bonus: Knowledge of TypeScript.

• Must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, or Washington.
