Senior Software Engineer, Marketing Platform Tooling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Construct and uphold data ingestion and processing pipelines utilizing both real-time streaming and batch processing methods.

• Create segment evaluation and matching services aimed at on-demand audience resolution.

• Develop robust and high-volume messaging and delivery pipelines for personalized communication.

• Design the shared, composable infrastructure and APIs to enhance marketing platform functionalities.

• Architect, construct, and maintain backend applications with a focus on clean coding practices.

• Influence the technical strategy and roadmap for targeting and CRM platforms.

• Design and manage dependable, scalable distributed services and data pipelines.

• Take ownership of significant platform components and oversee them from start to finish.

• Collaborate with various teams and departments to foster consensus and align objectives.

• Plan, make decisions, execute, and maintain the designated platform surface areas.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of backend development experience with a demonstrated history of success.

• Proficiency in Ruby and Go; experience with Python is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of Rails or Pandas.

• Experience in designing scalable and reliable distributed systems.

• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and both batch and streaming data pipelines.

• Proven skills in thorough unit testing and effective problem-solving.

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Must reside in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, or Nova Scotia.
