Senior Software Engineer – Logistics Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, create, test, and sustain mission applications utilizing Palantir Foundry and Army Vantage.

• Develop user experiences, operational workflows, and decision-support tools by leveraging Foundry-native capabilities alongside custom software.

• Construct applications using shared ontology objects, data products, and platform services.

• Collaborate with Army personnel to comprehend mission requirements, refine specifications, and integrate feedback into functional software.

• Work in partnership with data engineers to outline application data needs and ensure the utilization of reliable, authoritative data.

• Implement source control, code review, automated testing, continuous delivery, and monitor production environments.

• Identify and resolve issues related to application performance, reliability, and usability.

• Contribute to technical standards and create reusable application patterns.

• Offer technical guidance to fellow engineers while remaining actively engaged in development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of six years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong expertise in developing modern web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript with a framework like React.

• Experience in integrating applications with APIs, data services, and complex enterprise data.

• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.

• Experience in delivering secure, production-quality software through modern development and testing methodologies.

• Background in supporting the Department of Defense.

• Active Secret clearance is required.

• Applicants must fulfill eligibility criteria for a U.S. Government security clearance.

• Only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearance.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with Palantir Foundry, Army Vantage, Palantir Workshop, Ontology SDK, Foundry APIs, logistics or operational domains, Palantir AIP, Agent Studio, cloud-native development, DevSecOps, Army mission owners, data modeling, ontology-driven development, and data products.
