Senior Software Engineer – JavaScript, Node.js, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business clients to collect and comprehend their requirements.

• Engage with customers and Genesys data science teams for discovery, extraction, loading, data transformation, and result analysis.

• Establish and apply data intuition processes to cleanse and ensure the integrity of customer and Genesys data.

• Develop, manage, and enhance data pipelines while adhering to data modeling and ETL/ELT best practices.

• Create, refine, and optimize high-quality models.

• Partner with Professional Services and Engineering to fulfill customer requirements and communicate feedback, issues, and feature requests.

• Continuously enhance reporting, analysis, and overall processes.

• Visualize, present, and showcase findings.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer to both customers and internal teams.

• Communicate effectively within a global community, accommodating cultural, language, and time-zone differences.

• Adapt working hours to align with customer and team interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering.

• Over 8 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.

• Strong working knowledge of a programming language such as Java, NodeJS, or Python.

• Experience in application development with contact center product suites like Genesys, Avaya, or Cisco is a plus.

• Proficient in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT development.

• Skilled with REST API, JSON, and AWS.

• More than 8 years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and real-time analytics solution development.

• Proven track record of delivering projects independently.

• Capability to multitask and switch contexts between various projects and tasks.

• A strong sense of curiosity, passion, and drive for data queries, analysis, quality, and modeling.

• Exceptional communication skills, initiative, coordination, and attention to detail.

• Ability to convey complex topics to both experts and business leaders.

• Willingness to work until 11 PM IST.

• Practical experience with JavaScript, Node.JS, or Python.

• Hands-on experience in AWS application development, including Lambda, ECS Fargate, EKS, Docker, and SQS.
