Senior Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and evaluate backend applications and services utilizing Java and Spring Boot

• Create and sustain RESTful APIs and scalable backend solutions

• Develop and support applications leveraging microservices architecture

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver new features

• Engage in technical discussions, presentations, architectural decisions, and backend development initiatives

• Utilize Kafka for event-driven and distributed application architectures

• Work with PostgreSQL, including the design and optimization of complex SQL queries

• Implement and maintain data persistence using JPA

• Diagnose application issues, identify root causes, and execute effective solutions

• Analyze and enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability

• Contribute to code reviews and offer constructive feedback

• Adhere to SDLC and CI/CD processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of development and deployment practices

• Work collaboratively within an Agile team

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience with Java, showcasing strong hands-on expertise in Spring Web, Spring Boot, REST APIs, application security, and microservices architecture

• Solid grasp of software design patterns, troubleshooting, and problem-solving

• Significant experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch or SOLR, AWS, JPA, and PostgreSQL

• Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries

• Proficiency in IntelliJ IDEA, Git (GitHub/GitLab), JIRA, Docker, and Maven

• Comprehensive understanding of SDLC and CI/CD processes

• Availability to work until 3:00 PM CST

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English
