Senior Software Engineer – iOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain native iOS applications utilizing Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.

• Create scalable chat and collaboration solutions featuring messaging, notifications, presence indicators, typing indicators, rich media, and offline synchronization.

• Design, construct, and integrate RESTful APIs while collaborating with backend teams on service agreements and architectural frameworks.

• Develop engaging, responsive rich-content user interfaces incorporating markdown, rich text, hyperlinks, mentions, code blocks, interactive cards, and multimedia.

• Build AI-driven conversational experiences utilizing LLMs and streaming responses.

• Maintain standards for performance, reliability, accessibility, and security.

• Mentor fellow engineers, engage in architectural reviews, and promote engineering excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 5 years of experience in native iOS development.

• Expert knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.

• Substantial experience with real-time messaging applications.

• Proficient in using WebSockets and managing push notifications.

• Familiarity with offline-first designs and synchronization methods.

• Experience with REST APIs and service integrations.

• Understanding of contemporary iOS architectures such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.

• Experience in markdown and rich-content rendering.

• Knowledge of mobile performance enhancement, testing, and CI/CD processes.

• Experience in creating accessible mobile experiences, including VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, accessibility labels and navigation, WCAG, and inclusive design principles.

• Background in secure mobile application development, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, secure token management, Keychain storage, encryption, certificate pinning, and secure API communication.

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, or a high school diploma accompanied by 4 years of relevant work experience.
