Senior Software Engineer – Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Define and articulate system scope and objectives through thorough research and fact-finding.

• Design, develop, modify, and integrate intricate information systems.

• Create or adjust application systems and procedures to enhance efficiency, operating time, response time, and achieve desired outcomes.

• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts.

• Develop and execute program/system testing plans.

• Establish data verification methods and standard operating procedures.

• Address system failures and performance issues to minimize downtime and prevent future occurrences.

• Investigate software and hardware products to support recommendations, budgeting, and procurement.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for development teams throughout the development and implementation phases.

• Create and maintain enterprise APIs that connect critical applications within the organization.

• Collaborate with application teams to design and implement integration solutions.

• Provide support for production environments through incident response, release management, and deployments.

• Engage in on-call rotation and participate in after-hours deployment activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science-related field or equivalent professional experience.

• Equivalent experience defined as four years of professional work experience in a corporate setting.

• Five years of systems and programming experience.

• One year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodologies, terminology, and standards.

• One year of advanced knowledge in at least one programming language utilized at BCBST.

• Extensive experience working with APIs and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).

• Practical experience with IBM API Connect.

• Technical expertise in designing and documenting integration solutions, ensuring interoperability, security, and performance.

• Proficiency in programming languages and tools pertinent to integration and application development.

• Experience in API design, development, and management.

• Strong analysis, design, and coding capabilities.

• Proven success in leading large and complex projects.

• Ability to interpret and convey technical or complex concepts for project team members and business stakeholders.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• Availability to work during EST hours.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation approximately once every six weeks.

• Availability for after-hours deployment activities.
