Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure Foundations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical strategy, alignment, and execution across compute, networking, cloud orchestration, and observability.

• Develop essential systems to identify and minimize cloud expenses while ensuring scalability.

• Create systems that enhance cloud utilization and facilitate growth.

• Contribute to the design and execution of system architecture.

• Co-develop roadmaps for infrastructure scalability, reliability, and engineering velocity.

• Promote excellence in engineering and operations.

• Cultivate partnerships among engineering and product teams.

• Collaborate with various teams to maintain aligned roadmaps.

• Conduct design reviews with a focus on infrastructure scalability and reliability.

• Collaborate with the Security team to create secure-by-default systems.

• Engage with stakeholders and customers to grasp their requirements and facilitate their business needs.

• Explore ways to utilize Temporal software to enhance infrastructure scalability.

• Share design principles for constructing reliable systems at scale.

• Assist others in their improvement while pursuing personal development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in contributing to complex, cross-team engineering initiatives centered on cloud, compute, networking, and storage infrastructure.

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

• Capability to drive alignment within an organization and contribute to long-term strategic roadmaps.

• Demonstrated skill in making system-level trade-offs.

• Minimum of 10 years of coding experience in Go, Java, or a similar programming language.

• Experience in writing concurrent code.

• Expertise in designing distributed systems and utilizing concurrency primitives.

• Extensive experience in at least one area of infrastructure and familiarity with related fields.

• Practical experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud providers.
