Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +18 more locations.

📋 Description

• Create tools for managing and monitoring a large number of servers running various services.

• Design host provisioning and configuration systems.

• Facilitate swift code deployment.

• Develop tools for service configuration and monitoring.

• Automate the testing and linting of code.

• Take responsibility for infrastructure that supports real-time data pipelines handling hundreds of TB of data daily.

• Maintain end-to-end ownership of projects.

• Work collaboratively with a small team of engineers.

• Deploy code several times a day and evaluate its impact on users and revenue.

• Engage in engineering excellence through testing, creating explainable systems, and participating in code reviews.

• Gain proficiency in Go and open-source technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong programming skills; experience with Go is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Solid foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and systems architecture.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience in building high-scale distributed systems and backend architectures.

• A genuine interest in and/or experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex issues in distributed systems.

• Knowledge of managing Kafka is a plus.

• Experience with data management is beneficial.
