This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to gain insights into system architecture, design, and implementation in order to formulate effective testing strategies.
• Maintain a strong focus on code quality and software craftsmanship.
• Engage in code reviews to ensure that the code is designed with test automation considerations.
• Actively participate in daily standup meetings, story grooming sessions, and team retrospectives, consistently reporting progress and proposing as well as implementing enhancements.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test completion reports based on both functional and technical specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks for both functional and non-functional testing.
• Design and execute performance, load, and stress tests to verify that the application can scale and perform effectively under heavy traffic or resource limitations.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure regular and automated validation of code modifications.
• Monitor the health of test suites, ensuring successful execution of automated tests while optimizing test environments and test cases to enhance system performance.
• Investigate test failures and collaborate closely with developers to diagnose and rectify defects and issues.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering position.
• At least 5 years of experience with Java, including building test frameworks and testing Java applications.
• Experience with Distributed Caching, Compute, and Streaming.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools, specifically JUnit.
• Experience in non-functional and quality attribute verification.
• Proficiency in performance benchmarking, including latency and throughput assessment.
• Experience with resilience testing, including chaos and fuzz testing.
• Knowledge of scalability testing practices.
• Desirable skills include:
• Proven experience using AI/LLM tools, developing prompts, code, tools, and automation to enhance product quality with minimal friction.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, including tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Linux and Bash environments.
• Knowledge of Docker, Maven, and JFrog.
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms, particularly AWS.
• Experience in Infrastructure Deployment technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of Vulnerability & Compliance Tools, including SonarQube, OWASP, Trivy, and Blackduck.
• Experience in Big Data Storage Testing, including designing and manipulating test data.
• Familiarity with development frameworks such as Spring, Springboot, VertX, and Quarkus.
• Experience with both Enterprise and Open-source solutions.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science or a related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
• A solid understanding of the QA process, including Test Plans, Test Scripts, and Test Completion Reports.
