Senior Software Engineer II, Web – Ecommerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design and execute comprehensive features across frontend applications and associated services within the commerce sector.

• Spearhead technical implementation for medium to large-scale projects that involve multiple repositories or teams.

• Oversee project development by providing guidance and support to contributing engineers.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and document the technical direction.

• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams to define requirements and create implementation strategies.

• Engage in on-call duties and incident response rotations as required.

• Develop and enhance Battle.net commerce web properties, internal administration tools, and shared platform libraries.

• Enhance the developer experience in a multi-repository environment.

• Lead the optimization of standards and processes, providing insights on risks, opportunities, and team decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial ownership of web applications.

• Capability to design, implement, and manage large-scale systems with little direction.

• Excellent proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.

• Practical experience with React-based frameworks such as Next.js and/or Angular.

• Background in building and maintaining backend APIs or service integrations using Java and/or Node.js.

• Strong discipline in unit testing.

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems, containerization, and production deployment methodologies.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Proven track record of providing technical leadership without formal authority.
