This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Oversee the creation and enhancement of high-quality software modules for the Cotiviti product line.
• Investigate and resolve intricate software-related challenges, including pinpointing root causes from both internal and external customers.
• Advocate for thorough documentation of specifications, designs, features, and operational protocols of applications before they go live.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the main discipline alongside a strong grasp of related fields.
• Design and execute solutions that substantially enhance performance and availability.
• Proactively relay technical and operational concerns to both engineering and business leadership promptly, offering clear recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all technology standards during system development while also assessing and proposing new standards for enhanced practices.
• Investigate new concepts and contribute innovative ideas to existing processes or systems that boost efficiency and outcomes.
• Identify and assess emerging technologies, endorsing those that enhance efficiency and outcomes for integration into the Cotiviti product suite.
• Implement all relevant aspects of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers, encouraging their growth and development within the team.
• A minimum of 5 years of Java experience in developing large-scale, distributed web applications, ideally in data-heavy sectors such as healthcare or financial services.
• Strong skills in relational databases, with a solid grasp of query optimization and execution plans.
• Experience in designing and implementing systems utilizing the Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) pattern in extensive, distributed environments.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences, including engineers and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an innate curiosity and a proactive approach.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
