Senior Software Engineer, Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain backend product functionalities for Stytch’s identity platform on Twilio—launching new API endpoints and core authentication workflows, including both agentic and non-human identity scenarios.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to establish direction, translate customer requirements into product functionalities, and deliver impactful features on the roadmap.

• Work together with Twilio and Stytch teams to ensure alignment on architecture, integrate platform features, and facilitate cross-team initiatives.

• Exhibit profound technical ownership: create design documentation, guide crucial technical choices, review code, and remain engaged with the systems you deploy.

• Thrive in uncertainty—deconstruct complex problems, make practical trade-offs, and craft developer experiences that enhance customer satisfaction.

• Enhance production quality and resilience by implementing robust observability, incident response, and remediation practices.

• Mentor and assist fellow engineers through collaboration, feedback, and knowledge sharing, contributing to the elevation of the team's technical standards and culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in designing, building, and operating high-scale, mission-critical cloud-based production systems.

• Proficiency with a production-grade codebase in a modern programming language, adhering to best coding practices and producing high-quality code.

• Significant experience in RESTful API design and development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including on-call rotations during weekends and holidays.
