This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Head the backend development for Discovery functionalities within KeeperPAM.
• Architect and create the Python discovery engine operating on customer-deployed gateways alongside Java/Kotlin cloud services that manage and serve the discovered data.
• Develop systems that identify privileged accounts, service accounts, keys, machines, and identity data across Active Directory, cloud IAM, databases, and endpoints.
• Address identity correlation and reconciliation issues across various systems.
• Create incremental rescans and state-reconciliation features to avoid duplicate or outdated data.
• Implement unit, integration, and automated testing, as well as diagnostic tools, logging, and error reporting.
• Craft secure discovery workflows for customer production environments, taking into account API limitations and potential partial failures.
• Establish secure data-processing workflows within Keeper’s zero-knowledge framework.
• Work collaboratively with Product, QA, and PAM engineers on design, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools for development, debugging, research, and documentation purposes.
• Over 8 years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend systems.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Working knowledge of Java or Kotlin.
• Sufficient TypeScript/React skills to adjust the administrative interface when necessary.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems, APIs, and data-processing pipelines.
• Practical experience with Active Directory and/or LDAP.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud IAM model, such as AWS IAM and Organizations, Microsoft Entra ID, or GCP IAM.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong instincts in data modeling, preferably including graph or relationship-oriented models.
