This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive the technical vision and execution of high-performance APIs and user experiences utilizing Ruby on Rails and React for applications aimed at both patients and providers.
• Contribute to the enhancement of software development and testing standards to elevate technical excellence within the team.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to develop impactful features while maintaining a balance between user experience and code complexity.
• Provide efficient web experiences for patients and providers during virtual consultations.
• Design robust and scalable backend services that support frontend applications.
• Engage in an on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability outside of regular working hours.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, CS, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in developing and deploying scalable web applications across the entire software stack.
• Proficient in React, TypeScript, and contemporary UI patterns with a focus on web performance and responsiveness.
• Extensive professional background in building backend systems and designing clean GraphQL/REST APIs.
• Familiarity with establishing effective data-fetching models.
• Skilled in writing SQL for relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Practical experience with automated testing at all levels, including RSpec, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Proficient in modern deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in an iterative Agile environment with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Commitment to data security, privacy, and ethical technology practices.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without requiring sponsorship.
• Preferred: experience in leading complex projects, influencing architectural decisions, and aligning cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: familiarity with modern Ruby on Rails and advanced JavaScript ecosystems.
• Preferred: experience in making large-scale frontend design decisions or setting up build tooling from scratch.
• Preferred: knowledge of AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
