Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable, production-ready backend services and distributed systems.

• Create essential platform components such as payment orchestration, ledgering, workflow engines, partner integrations, and public APIs.

• Shape system architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction as the platform expands.

• Take ownership of projects from inception through deployment and long-term management.

• Work closely with engineering and product teams to address intricate infrastructure and financial systems challenges.

• Provide mentorship to colleagues, elevate engineering standards, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience in building and maintaining production systems.

• Background in high-growth startups or dynamic environments with significant ownership responsibilities.

• Strong foundation in backend engineering with experience in creating reliable, scalable distributed systems.

• Demonstrated capability to independently drive complex technical projects and make informed architectural choices.

• Experience in infrastructure/DevOps, payments or financial systems, or blockchain/crypto infrastructure.

• Product-oriented mindset with a willingness to work across different technology stacks as necessary.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Familiarity with Ruby, TypeScript, AWS, Terraform, or Kubernetes is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Preferred: experience in designing APIs, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures.

• Preferred: exposure to modern cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Preferred: experience in fintech, payments, banking, digital assets, or other regulated sectors.

• Preferred: involvement in shaping engineering practices, technical strategies, or scaling engineering teams.

• Preferred: understanding of AI-assisted development workflows and contemporary engineering tools.
