Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Redesign the account hierarchy — transitioning from a single-user-per-business approach to a scalable framework that accommodates intricate parent-child business relationships.

• Develop flexible travel policies that can be applied across lodging, flights, and car rentals for enterprise clients.

• Assess what elements should remain within the monolith versus what should transition to microservices — and make informed decisions.

• Work closely with business stakeholders on negotiations and significant product decisions.

• Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver features from start to finish.

• Play a role in developing a future policies service where compiled languages (Go / Rust) are considered.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundational knowledge in backend engineering, particularly with Node / TypeScript.

• Practical experience with a compiled programming language (Go or Rust).

• Extensive experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and a solid understanding of distributed systems.

• Experience with AWS and serverless architecture (Lambda).

• Ability to make decisions based on incomplete information, take ownership of those decisions, and proceed confidently.

• Highly collaborative — you will engage directly with business partners regarding negotiations and product choices.

• Comfortable navigating uncertainty and negotiating outcomes between engineering and business teams.

• Maintain high standards — for your code, your systems, and your team.

• Nice to Have: Experience with Ruby on Rails (some services are built on Rails), exposure to React or frontend technologies, and prior experience in developing multi-tenant enterprise systems, permissions frameworks, or policy engines.
