Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant components of Epic's web application from start to finish—covering Angular UI, PHP and Go services, and MySQL.

• Design and deliver features that encompass the entire technology stack.

• Collaborate effectively with product, design, data, and infrastructure teams to successfully implement features.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers through code reviews and collaborative work.

• Enhance the developer experience across the codebases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, including substantial involvement in launching production full-stack features.

• Extensive experience with Angular (preferably version 13 or higher), focusing on component architecture, RxJS reactive patterns, and state-management libraries like NgRx.

• Strong skills in TypeScript and contemporary front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS/SCSS, accessibility, performance).

• Significant experience with PHP using a modern framework—Symfony is preferred, with Laravel being acceptable.

• Proficient in designing schemas, writing efficient queries, and understanding indexing in relational databases, preferably MySQL.

• Experience in designing and maintaining REST (or gRPC) APIs that handle real production traffic.

• Background in writing tests across multiple levels—including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Familiarity with Git, pull-request workflows, and modern CI/CD practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven history of mentoring junior engineers and enhancing quality through review and collaboration.
