Senior Software Engineer – FTC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a cross-functional product team to contribute designs, coding, testing, code reviews, and sound judgment towards the development and ongoing enhancement of our digital platforms.

• Engage in agile ceremonies and assist in the evolution of the team’s development practices.

• Play a role in shaping the overall platform architecture.

• Ensure that new work aligns with the established architecture.

• Set up and support development processes.

• Act as a steward for the long-term sustainability of our platform, actively managing its health and addressing technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional software engineering experience in a full stack environment, preferably with experience in Google Cloud, Python, React, Kubernetes, BigQuery, or similar contemporary technologies.

• Practical experience in developing, launching, operating, and/or maintaining consumer and/or enterprise web applications.

• A demonstrated passion for producing testable, instrumented, and reliable code.

• Proven track record in utilizing and enhancing agile software development and associated design practices.

• In-depth understanding and experience with at least one server-side programming language.

• Proficiency in cloud-native architectures.

• Preferred expertise in data pipelines and event-driven architectures.

• Preferred experience in machine learning and machine learning pipelines.

• Strong foundation in secure coding practices.

• Solid grasp of client-side technologies (CSS/HTML/JS).

• Familiarity with continuous delivery methods and technologies.

• Experience in using data to guide development decisions.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with diverse functions, personalities, and cultures.

• Ability to actively listen, ask pertinent questions, and discern the underlying meaning in both spoken and unspoken communication.

• Open-minded and adaptable, with a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

• Proficient in problem-solving across multiple domains, demonstrating resilience, proactivity, and creativity.

• Quick to learn new techniques and technologies.

• Pragmatic while maintaining attention to detail.

• Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred, along with a strong background in software engineering.
