This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Develop well-tested, maintainable software that ensures patient safety and provides clear audit trails.
• Transform complex challenges from initial concepts into delivered features.
• Create accessible and high-performing user interfaces tailored for intricate clinical workflows.
• Utilize and refine the GraphQL API.
• Minimize technical debt while enhancing reliability and the maturity of the platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, clinical teams, and fellow engineers.
• Review pull requests, disseminate knowledge, and engage in engineering tech co-operatives.
• Investigate and implement AI tools for writing, debugging, and prototyping within a regulated environment.
• Extensive production experience with React, including knowledge of its ecosystem, state management, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Dedication to creating accessible and user-friendly interfaces for both patients and clinicians.
• Ability to thrive in situations with uncertainty and changing priorities typical of startups or scale-ups.
• Full-stack mindset, encompassing schema design and overall system data performance.
• Proven ability to dissect ambiguous problems, make practical trade-offs, and deliver reliably.
• Proficient in producing clear, compliant documentation.
• Committed to enhancing code quality, test coverage, and the overall health of the codebase.
• 5–7 years of experience in frontend engineering.
• Experience in developing software under clinical risk, demonstrating strict rigor and traceability practices.
• Familiarity with design systems in collaboration with product designers.
• Practical experience with GraphQL, including queries, fragments, and client-side caching solutions like Apollo.
• A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory for all positions.
• Experience in mobile development using React Native or cross-platform development (not essential).
• Previous work experience under IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or MDR/IVDR (not essential).
