Senior Software Engineer, Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and internal tools utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, or similar technologies.

• Contribute to the development of strategic product features and shared platform components.

• Guide architectural choices across application, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and developer productivity areas.

• Engage in code reviews, design discussions, release planning, and production support activities.

• Enhance deployment workflows, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, and production operations.

• Operate within Azure-based environments, including App Services, Function Apps, Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights, Front Door, networking, and related cloud infrastructure.

• Ensure secure, reliable, and compliant software delivery practices suitable for a fintech or financial services setting.

• Embrace and advance AI-enabled engineering tools and workflows.

• Elevate quality, speed, documentation, code reviews, and delivery through responsible AI-assisted development.

• Support AI-enhanced product capabilities, workflow automation, internal productivity tools, and emerging development practices.

• Mentor engineers and enhance the overall engineering maturity of the team.

• Advocate for environmental, social, economic, and racial justice.

• Remain updated on relevant regulatory requirements and fulfill mandatory compliance and IT training.

• Grasp and adhere to Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Question any suspicious activity and collaborate to mitigate fraudulent actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on DevOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, deployment automation, and production operations.

• More than 3 years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of backend architecture, API design, distributed systems, and production-level software development.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, CodeRabbit, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

• Capability to resolve complex technical issues with sound judgment while focusing on scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

• Ability to excel in a dynamic, high-expectation environment.

• Proficiency in clearly communicating technical concepts to product, engineering, security, compliance, and leadership stakeholders.

• Understanding of, or the ability to swiftly learn, regulatory, security, privacy, and operational standards in banking and fintech.
