This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and develop scalable full-stack applications encompassing front-end, back-end, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps.
• Create scalable back-end services and APIs mainly using Python while also contributing to front-end interfaces when necessary.
• Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines and administer cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform.
• Oversee production systems, resolve incidents, and implement root-cause solutions.
• Design, write, validate, and modify code and scripts that support both internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with the Database Administrator on SQL Server tables, data integrity, stored procedures, SSRS, and SSIS packages.
• Provide operational backup for routine data maintenance activities.
• Work alongside product, QA, and engineering teams to strategize and deliver features.
• Review code to uphold quality standards and disseminate knowledge.
• Enhance deployment reliability, observability, and overall system performance.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and the planning of the technical roadmap.
• Lead the development of programs, web applications, and web service/API integrations.
• Create logical diagrams that illustrate the current and future states of systems.
• Oversee LifePRO application support, including the assessment, testing, and implementation of releases and new functionalities.
• Monitor resource utilization across programs, applications, web services, and systems.
• Utilize AI-driven coding assistants to expedite development and automate engineering workflows.
• Develop and implement program- and system-level testing plans.
• Diagnose and rectify logic and coding errors.
• Review production data and reports concerning scheduled jobs, data quality, and integrity.
• Maintain documentation for applications, programs, disaster recovery, and data centers.
• Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in programming, information technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency or training in T-SQL, C#, and .NET.
• Experience working within an AWS Cloud Environment.
• Strong skills in full-stack application and cloud-native solution development.
• Familiarity with front-end and back-end development technologies.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and programming languages such as Python, .NET, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience in building APIs and authentication solutions including OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of insurance operations, business systems, and software design principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
