Senior Software Engineer, Embedded

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop significant features for the Flipturn Controller, an onsite control computer that interfaces with EV chargers, batteries, generators, meters, and utility programs.

• Gather feedback from customers.

• Propel the vision of Flipturn's EV charging platform.

• Contribute to establishing the engineering team's culture.

• Integrate EV charging solutions with onsite batteries and generators, utility programs, and other control sources.

• Upgrade embedded Linux systems, which includes build tooling, bootloaders, and board bring-up.

• Enhance firmware and the comprehensive energy management platform.

• Assist customers in participating in PG&E's Flex Connect program, ensuring their sites operate more efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in software engineering.

• 2+ years of experience in firmware development.

• Proficiency with embedded Linux systems, including build tooling (Yocto or similar), bootloaders, and board bring-up.

• Enthusiasm for working on both firmware/hardware projects and full-stack product development.

• Experience in a rapidly evolving, industry-leading technology team, delivering products and features from start to finish.

• Interest in leveraging AI tools to expedite software development.
