This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +2 more countries.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application engineering teams to design and enhance standardized infrastructure, deployment workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop, manage, and continuously enhance containerized infrastructure with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish best practices for Kubernetes and facilitate its adoption throughout engineering teams.
• Oversee and advance AWS cloud infrastructure, covering compute, networking, and storage systems.
• Enhance observability, monitoring, and incident preparedness across production systems.
• Engage in a shared on-call rotation approximately every 5 weeks, responding to and resolving production incidents.
• Mentor colleagues and share insights to elevate engineering practices and operational maturity.
• Streamline developer workflows and minimize obstacles in deployment and infrastructure processes.
• Contribute to infrastructure documentation and promote internal enablement initiatives.
• Assess and integrate new technologies that offer clear advantages.
• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production settings.
• Proficient with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong experience working with AWS services (e.g., EKS, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, Route53).
• Skilled in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
• Experience with containerized systems, including Docker and containerd.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and modern strategies for securing infrastructure, including shift-left principles.
• Proven experience in operating and scaling high-traffic systems and large-scale data platforms in production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a systematic approach to debugging and system design.
• Capacity to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a distributed environment.
