Senior Software Engineer – Data Migration, Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Participate in the ENER:GY ERP billing platform for municipal utilities and energy providers.

• Design and enhance a central migration tool for customer and bulk data in Wilken ENER:GY.

• Execute intricate migration scenarios, including transitions from legacy to target systems, on-premises to cloud migrations, and tenant separations.

• Evaluate data models, interfaces, and file formats, and create robust transformation logic.

• Maintain quality through thorough testing, code reviews, and clean architectural practices.

• Proactively assist in forming a new agile team and progressing the technical target architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing backend systems or migration tools within production environments.

• In-depth understanding of data models, interfaces, and formats like CSV, XML, and JSON.

• Advanced skills in SQL and relational databases, particularly with Oracle and PostgreSQL.

• Strong knowledge of Java.

• Experience with APIs, particularly REST; familiarity with SOAP is an advantage.

• Proficiency in the German language at C1 level or above.
