Senior Software Engineer – Data & Algorithm Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Maintain, enhance, and expand data models and Databricks pipelines.

• Design and implement scalable and high-performance solutions.

• Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders across Aledade to create and execute technical roadmaps using Agile methodologies.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

• Perform detailed pull request reviews for peers and welcome constructive feedback on your work.

• Transform complex healthcare data into clear insights regarding patients and their interactions with the healthcare system.

• Assist partner practices in understanding their patients and ensuring they receive necessary care.

• Observe and monitor models in operation to confirm they yield significant impact throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BTech or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience utilizing SQL or other database querying languages on extensive multi-table datasets.

• More than 4 years of experience as an engineer developing backend applications within a cross-functional team.

• At least 2 years of experience serving as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team environment, focusing on both short-term and long-term business value.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience mentoring fellow engineers.

• Over 2 years of substantial Data Engineering experience, particularly with DataBricks and various Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.

• More than 3 years of experience with backend programming languages including Python, Java, Node.js, etc.

• Proven experience in designing, constructing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Skilled in managing large datasets with knowledge of data storage technologies.

• Experience with data ingestion systems and optimizing performance for large-scale data processing and analysis.

• Comprehensive understanding of database systems.

• Proficient in performance monitoring and optimization of data systems and infrastructure.

• Experience in building data pipelines using Kafka or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with database replication, sharding, and other techniques to ensure scalability and high availability of databases.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience in creating continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Awareness of security protocols and systems that manage sensitive data.
