β€’ Oversee the design, development, and execution of intricate software systems and applications.

β€’ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

β€’ Offer technical direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, encompassing mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

β€’ Foster innovation and suggest new solutions aimed at enhancing processes, technologies, and product offerings.

β€’ Design scalable and maintainable software solutions that fulfill performance, reliability, and security standards.

β€’ Spearhead initiatives to identify and resolve complex technical issues, implementing effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance.

β€’ Remain informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential influence on our products and processes.

β€’ Communicate proficiently with stakeholders across all levels, including both technical and non-technical audiences, to articulate technical concepts and decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).

β€’ Over 7 years of professional experience in software development, showcasing a proven history of delivering high-quality software solutions.

β€’ Extensive proficiency in one or more programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.

β€’ In-depth experience in IBM mainframe development, including CICS, VSAM, and JCL.

β€’ Significant experience in Life & Annuity Policy Administration, particularly with the CyberLife Application.

β€’ Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for analyzing complex technical challenges and proposing effective solutions.

β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork and interaction with stakeholders at all levels.

β€’ Preferred: Familiarity with VPMS, SCLM, and Repetitive Payment System (RPS).

β€’ Demonstrated application of Artificial Intelligence to enhance work efficiency.

β€’ Experience with distributed technologies such as AWS, Java, Python, JavaScript, database systems, and SQL.

β€’ Background in implementing various Life & Annuity policy administration systems.

β€’ Understanding of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.

β€’ Previous experience in leading or mentoring junior engineers.
