This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the design, development, and execution of intricate software systems and applications.
β’ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
β’ Offer technical direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, encompassing mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
β’ Foster innovation and suggest new solutions aimed at enhancing processes, technologies, and product offerings.
β’ Design scalable and maintainable software solutions that fulfill performance, reliability, and security standards.
β’ Spearhead initiatives to identify and resolve complex technical issues, implementing effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance.
β’ Remain informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential influence on our products and processes.
β’ Communicate proficiently with stakeholders across all levels, including both technical and non-technical audiences, to articulate technical concepts and decisions.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
β’ Over 7 years of professional experience in software development, showcasing a proven history of delivering high-quality software solutions.
β’ Extensive proficiency in one or more programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.
β’ In-depth experience in IBM mainframe development, including CICS, VSAM, and JCL.
β’ Significant experience in Life & Annuity Policy Administration, particularly with the CyberLife Application.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for analyzing complex technical challenges and proposing effective solutions.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork and interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with VPMS, SCLM, and Repetitive Payment System (RPS).
β’ Demonstrated application of Artificial Intelligence to enhance work efficiency.
β’ Experience with distributed technologies such as AWS, Java, Python, JavaScript, database systems, and SQL.
β’ Background in implementing various Life & Annuity policy administration systems.
β’ Understanding of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
β’ Previous experience in leading or mentoring junior engineers.
