
Senior Software Engineer – Core Platform Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, improve, and sustain contemporary web applications for LightBox Live.
• Design responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance interfaces utilizing React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering colleagues to convert business requirements and user processes into top-quality software.
• Thoughtfully utilize AI-assisted development tools to speed up implementation, testing, refactoring, debugging, documentation, and technical exploration, while ensuring strong ownership of code quality and accuracy.
• Engage with APIs, data models, and backend services within a Node-based application framework.
• Take part in architecture discussions, technical design evaluations, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Assist in shaping reusable components, patterns, and best practices throughout the application.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and application-related issues.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
• Contribute to an agile development methodology aimed at delivering significant product value.
• Aid in modernizing and integrating CRE workflows by simplifying complex data for better comprehension and action.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience in developing modern web applications, particularly with front-end technologies.
• Strong proficiency in React and contemporary front-end application development.
• Solid experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Familiarity with working in a Node.js application stack; experience with Next.js is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of GraphQL; experience with Relay is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with modern ORM or database tools, particularly Prisma.
• Experience in building scalable, maintainable, high-performance, and testable web applications.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
