Senior Software Engineer, Contentful

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conceive, create, and sustain Contentful content models, content types, taxonomies, and editorial workflows.

• Establish and enforce scalable Content Architecture and governance standards within the Contentful platform.

• Connect Contentful APIs to front-end applications and enterprise systems.

• Craft responsive and high-performance user interfaces utilizing React, Next.js, Angular, and TypeScript.

• Partner with UX designers, content creators, and business stakeholders to produce content-driven experiences.

• Develop reusable front-end components and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.

• Set up and oversee CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and release management.

• Engage in architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentoring.

• Assist in cloud-native application deployment and monitoring within AWS environments.

• Diagnose production issues and enhance application performance, scalability, and security.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Contentful or comparable Headless CMS platforms.

• Proficient in Content Model Design.

• Skilled in creating and managing Content Types.

• Familiar with Content Relationships and References.

• Knowledgeable about Content Delivery and Management APIs.

• Experience in Content Migration and Environment Management.

• Understanding of Content Governance and Publishing Workflows.

• Practical experience with React.js, Next.js, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.

• Background in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong grasp of REST APIs and GraphQL.

• Familiar with Git version control.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

• 6–7 years of software engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Contentful CMS.

• Team-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of thriving in a support and enhancement environment.

• Experience in mentoring junior developers is advantageous.

• Contentful Certifications, experience with Digital Asset Management integrations, large-scale website modernization or CMS migration projects, SSR/SSG with Next.js, Contentful Migration CLI, and Contentful environment promotion strategies are beneficial.
