Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop NVIDIA's accelerated compute cloud services.

• Create software for hardware and network provisioning within a multi-tenant infrastructure.

• Design and implement scalable software solutions to oversee NVIDIA's cloud infrastructure.

• Develop automation software for networking and systems in a multi-tenant cloud environment.

• Collaborate with software engineers, product architects, product managers, and internal stakeholders.

• Create services that align with the architectural vision of NVIDIA DSX OS.

• Take ownership of code from the development phase through to commit, testing, and production.

• Engage with open-source communities.

• Present roadmaps, vision, and demonstrations to internal stakeholders and NVIDIA leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in designing and building distributed software systems.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proficient in coding with C, C++, Golang, or Rust.

• Skilled in designing and implementing maintainable APIs.

• Experience with asynchronous programming, type safety, threading models, state machines, and data structures.

• Familiarity with data persistence methods using SQL or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of secure communication protocols such as mutual-TLS or IPsec.

• Experience with hyperscale cloud service providers.

• Understanding of networking protocols, including IP, IPv6, BGP, HTTP, ICMP, VXLAN, Geneve, FoU, and GRE.

• Background in host management systems such as DHCP, Redfish, and UEFI.

• Knowledge of host security services including TPM, TXT, and SecureBoot.

• Experience with Kubernetes and/or distributed task scheduling.

• Familiarity with SRE principles, including observability, SLOs, and logging.
