Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Partner Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of cloud partner integrations from inception to completion, encompassing design, implementation, and operational management.

• Define the architecture for authentication and identity processes, multi-tenancy, data movement, performance, and operational behavior.

• Manage infrastructure, continuous integration, deployment, observability, and on-call duties.

• Develop and oversee integrations with external platforms that are not subject to modification.

• Identify and mitigate risks across platform trust boundaries.

• Collaborate with internal teams to refine product requirements and establish agreed-upon interfaces and protocols.

• Proactively resolve issues that depend on services managed by other teams.

• Set technical standards and defaults for the integrations team.

• Work closely with the engineering manager, product manager, expanding team, and engineers throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software development experience, with significant expertise in data-intensive or integration-centric systems.

• Proficient in TypeScript or Go, or willing to contribute to both languages.

• Strong knowledge of backend systems and architecture.

• Ability to analyze deployment topology, multi-tenancy, data movement, performance, and architectural trade-offs.

• Familiarity with modern authentication protocols, service principals, and identity federation.

• Experience working with external platforms that have incomplete documentation and potential breaking changes.

• Capable of functioning effectively in ambiguous situations and making decisions amidst uncertainty.

• Primarily a backend engineer with a comfort level in interacting with modern React applications.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.

• Strong written communication skills for chats, design documents, and RFCs.

• Knowledge of a major cloud data or analytics platform ecosystem is advantageous.

• Familiarity with authentication and identity federation, partner security assessments, marketplace compliance, or certification requirements is a plus.

• Experience in designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms, including their isolation and deployment topology, is a plus.

• Working knowledge of ClickHouse or another columnar/OLAP engine is considered an advantage.
