Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Partner Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Influence the technical landscape as one of the initial backend engineers on the Cloud Partner Integrations team.

• Manage integrations comprehensively, encompassing design, coding, and production systems.

• Develop authentication and identity flows, manage multi-tenancy, handle data movement and storage boundaries, and optimize performance and production behavior.

• Take ownership of infrastructure, CI, deployment, observability, and on-call operations.

• Build upon and manage constraints imposed by external platforms.

• Collaborate with internal teams to refine product requirements and establish agreements on interfaces and protocols.

• Actively seek out methods to sustain progress across team dependencies.

• Work closely with the engineering manager, product manager, expanding team, and engineers throughout the broader organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software development experience, including significant expertise in data-intensive or integration-centric systems.

• Proficient in TypeScript or Go, or comfortable contributing to both languages.

• Strong backend and systems knowledge.

• Capability to analyze deployment topology, multi-tenancy, and data movement.

• Familiarity with modern authentication protocols, service principals, and identity federation.

• Experience working with external platforms that may have incomplete documentation and possible breaking changes.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively and make informed decisions under uncertain circumstances.

• Comfortable primarily functioning as a backend engineer while also contributing to a contemporary React application.

• Experience with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.

• Excellent written communication skills for chats, design documents, and RFCs.

• Experience with a major cloud data or analytics platform ecosystem is preferred but not mandatory.

• Additional expertise in authentication and identity federation, partner security reviews, marketplace requirements, or certification requirements is advantageous.

• Experience in designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms or related isolation and deployment topologies is a plus.

• Working knowledge of ClickHouse or another columnar/OLAP engine is a bonus.
